Rockhampton – on the Tropic of Capricorn, just 40 kilometres inland from the Pacific Ocean – sits astride Queensland’s largest river, the Fitzroy. Queensland’s favourite tropical city, Rockhampton is bounded by the magnificent Berserker Ranges and Mount Archer which provide an imposing backdrop to a busy growing city that is both friendly and vibrant. The city area covers 187 square kilometres and offers all the benefits of metropolitan living with room to breathe. The region extends to the Capricorn Coast in the east and Mount Morgan in the west. Rockhampton’s location between the beautiful Capricorn Coast and the rural Hinterland provides visitors and residents with the choice of unlimited investment and recreational pursuits.


Capricorn Coast Overview

Set on the Tropic of Capricorn in Central Queensland, the Capricorn Coast has an average daily temperature of 25° c. The Pacific Ocean borders 95km of pristine coastline stretching from Stanage Bay in the north to the mighty Fitzroy River in the south, this river being the largest water catchment area in Queensland. The Coast and its Keppel Group of Island boasts safe swimming waters all year and spectacular geographical diversity. Contrasts range from rainforest to reef, outback to wetlands, camping islands to mainland parabolic sand dunes.


Banana Shire Overview

Banana Shire is sparsely populated with approximately 15,000 people dispersed over 15,729 square kilometres.
The main population centre is the town of Biloela, with Moura and Theodore being other significant urban centres in the Banana Shire.  Baralaba, Dululu, Goovigen, Jambin, Thangool, Wowan and Cracow comprise the remaining towns in the Shire.

Each of the eleven towns of the Shire have their own individual characteristics, which have been developed as a result of their rich past and colourful community individuals

 


About Rocky Office

The Rockhampton practice was established in late 1992.  Mr Robert Woodward formalised an independent owner operator’s franchise due to increasing demand and the company's view to provide a professional regional network.  The franchise operates within a broad area of the central Qld region.  Based in Rockhampton and services the associated coastal & inland areas including the Capricorn Coast, Dawson Valley Coal Fields and Central Highlands.

Due to further expansion of the Practice, Mark Gabriel and Cameron Halliday joined the practice to provide additional qualified staff with a sound knowledge and experience within the local region.  Cameron and Mark are also long term local residents and have both since become Directors of the company. 

All valuers and staff are long term local residents which offers an in depth knowledge of the region which underpins the professional servicing of clients in these coastal and inland areas.

Central Queensland has undergone significant changes in the previous five years due in large to mining influences.  Consequently the property market is now experiencing unprecedented demand and prices.  Our ability to cover Central Queensland with locality specialists has enabled us to capture these market movements quickly which can then be conveyed to clients in an efficient and cost effective basis.

The firm has recently employed Steve McDonald (mature age student), another long term local with a strong business analytical background.  Steve is adding another dimension to our property analysis to reflect the increasing sophistication in the current market.

The direction of the organisation is positively targeted by the program strategic plan in which a number of key performance factors are highlighted including:

The Corporate Plan of the Practice is to provide a wide variety of services with specialist valuers available to cater to all aspects of valuation requirements.  Valuation staff are experts in various fields and localities each with extensive professional networks to ensure quality and well informed advice.

The firm comprises three Directors, all fully qualified and Registered Valuers, with an excellent understanding of the Rockhampton and surrounding districts.  Directors reside in different towns within the region allowing a more efficient service which we consider unique.  We are large enough to meet your needs, yet small enough to ensure individual needs are met. Our valuers are familiar with YOUR locality and will take the time to work you through the valuation process if necessary, to ensure you are completely happy with our service.
