Mackay is a tropical region that has an abundance of significant natural attractions of National Parks, gorges, the Great Barrier Reef, tropical islands and unspoilt beaches. The hinterland area features a range of heritage and cultural activities including gold fossicking. The region’s relaxed and welcoming people are also seen as an asset. Mackay is located between Brisbane and Cairns. The Mackay region extends from Cape Palmerston National Park and Sarina, northward to Midge Point, west beyond Eungella National Park and east to Credlin Reef.

Anthony possesses a Business Degee in Real Property Valuation and Administration from the University of Queensland - Gatton Campus in 1991. Following initial employment with the Department of Lands in Rockhampton and Mackay, Anthony was registered as a Rural and Urban Valuer in July 1994. Following this, diverse experience has been gained with the State Valuation Service, Herron Todd White Valuers, ACVAL and his own practice as a sole operator.

In 2005 Anthony joined the Mackay / Whitsundays JLA practice, is now managing director and is based in the Townsville office.

Director/Valuer Steve Whitfield AAPI Certified Practicing Valuer Registration No 1001

Registered in 1973 as a Rural and Urban Valuer after training as a Cadet Valuer with the then Valuer Generals Department.Since then, Steve has worked for the Lands Department of South Australia, conducted his own real estate business in Mackay and then returned to the Queensland Government as a Valuer in the Department of Natural Resources and Mines.

Recruited by John Logan and Associates in 2004, Steve was offered a partnership in the company in 2006. He is based in the Mackay Office.

Senior Valuer PAMELA EDWARDS AAPI B.Business. (Property Studies) Certified Practising Valuer Registration No. 2293

Pam Edwards was registered as a Valuer in Queensland in May 1997. Valuation expertise is under pinned by an extensive knowledge and historical background of association with the Mortgage/Finance Industry. Pamela has twelve years mortgage lending experience over a broad area of northern and central Queensland gained from employment with a number of lending institutions – ANZ Bank, National Australia Bank and Mackay Permanent Building Society. Valuation expertise is gained from 6 years valuation experience with Turner Valuers in Emerald as a Cadet and Graduate Valuer whilst completing a recognized Bachelor of Business Degree specialising in Property Valuation and 10 years with John Logan and Associates specialising in residential valuations for mortgage security purposes. She is based in the Mackay office.

Assistant Valuer Jade Shuttlewood

Jade has been working as an Assistant Valuer with John Logan & Associates Mackay / Whitsundays since September 2005. She is currently enrolled at Central Queensland University, studying a Bachelor of Property. A significant proportion of her work entails research of property and market movement, construction and development costs and sales analysis. Jade is based in the Mackay office.

Mark Galway Senior Valuer AAPI B.Applied Science (Property Economics) Certified Practising Valuer Registration No 2637

Mark has been registered as a Valuer since 2002 and has spent most of his professional career in Brisbane working for Herron Todd White conducting a wide range of urban and rural residential valuations. In 2009 Mark moved to the Cannonvale office with JLA and is enjoying the tropical lifestyle change. He possesses a Bachelor of Applied Science (Property Economics) from the Queensland University of Technology and is also an Associate member of the Australian Property Institute.

Petra Graham Registered Valuer AAPI B.Business Management(Real Estate & Development) Certified Practising Valuer Registration No 3317

Petra has a Bachelor of Business Management - Real Estate and Development from the University of Queensland - St Lucia Campus graduating in 2007. Whilst studying she worked in valuation firms in Brisbane and Mackay. After graduating, Petra completed her professional experience on the Sunshine Coast before being registered in 2009. 2010 has seen Petra Return to Mackay to commence her role at John Logan & Associates.
