Gympie Overview


Gympie is located approximately 175km north of Brisbane and within 60km of Noosa and the Sunshine Coast. Gympie is known as the heritage and cultural centre of the Cooloola Region. The population of Gympie city is approximately 16,000 with 36000 in the Cooloola Shire. Gympie offers the warm hospitality of a country town but with all the modern conveniences of city life. Townships surrounding and serviced by Gympie include Amamoor, Cooloola Cove, Cooran, Curra, Dagun, Glenwood, Gunalda, Imbil, Kandanga, Kilkivan, Kin Kin, Pomona, Rainbow Beach, Theebine, Tin Can Bay, Traveston, Widgee and Woolooga. Main industries in Gympie are tourism, service related industries, retail, industrial, gold mining along with a wide spread rural base including dairy, forestry, small cropping, macadamias and beef cattle.


Mary Valley Overview

The Mary Valley is situated south of Gympie and includes the townships of Amamoor, Dagun, Imbil and Kandanga. These townships generally service the immediate rural and rural residential areas as well as becoming tourist destinations in there own right.


Cooloola Overview

Cooloola integrates the village of Cooloola Cove and the coastal townships of Rainbow Beach and Tin Can Bay. Population of this area is approximately 10,000 and has undergone significant expansion in recent years. Tin Can Bay services the local fishing fleet along with a growing tourist base. Rainbow Beach is a gateway to Fraser Island and Double Island Point along with being a tourist destination in its own right.

  • Chris is originally from New South Wales and commenced his career as a Valuer in 1972 with the NSW Valuer General’s Department.
  • He then accepted a position in 1979 with the Snowy Mountains Hydro-Electric Authority as Property Administration Officer.
  • Having had enough of the cold weather he decided to migrate north to sunny Queensland and join the Qld Electricity Commission as a Property Officer/Valuer in 1985.
  • Chris was approached to join Hillier Parker (Qld) Pty Ltd in 1986 wherein his flair for Commercial valuations was realised. Chris also worked for Chesterton International (Qld) Pty Ltd and Jones Lang Wootton (Qld) Pty Ltd over the next 8 years.
  • Chris relocated to Gympie to escape the hectic demands imposed by a city based practice seking a lifestyle and pace more amenable to raising a young family. Gympie offered all the prerequisities of a well serviced, large regional centre, close to the coast, yet within easy travelling of Brisbane. Chris commenced the practice from his home in January 1994.

  • Extensive experience in valuing rural properties including beef cattle and dairy, piggeries, macadamia and olive orchards, vineyards and smaller intensive concerns.
  • In January 1999, Blair Fuller joined the Practice in a full time capacity as a valuer, and became a Director in February 2000.
  • Prior to this he was employed as a Valuer for the Department of Natural Resources working in the Maryborough/Tiaro/ Cooloola/Kingaroy and Nanango Shires.
  • Blair spent his initial years as a Valuer employed by the Land Administration Commission undertaking land administration inspections and valuations in localities including Cairns, Cooktown, Mareeba and Atherton Tablelands along with the north western areas from Pentland west to Julia Creek and up into the lower Gulf country.
