Cairns is generally regarded as the capital of tropical far north Queensland. It is the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef and the home of the Wet Tropics Rainforest experience. Both World Heritage listed. It is located approximately 1700 kilometres north of Brisbane and has a regional population of approximately 125,000. Cairns Shire runs from Mirriwinni in the south to Ellis Beach in the north, some 95 kilometres in length The Golden Penda is the City’s floral emblem and is one of the great flower trees of the north. Cairns International Airport is the sixth busiest in term of International and Domestic passenger movements. Over three million passenger movements.

Born in Cairns in 1953 and carried out all my schooling at St Augustine’s College to year 12.
Graduated from the University of Queensland with an Associate Diploma of Business specialising in Real Estate Valuation.
Registered as a Rural and Urban valuer with the Valuers Registration Board of Queensland
Admitted as an Associate of the Valuation stream of the Australian Institute of Valuers and Land Economists.
A total 25 years valuation experience in the North Queensland area and have had 5 years experience managing a medium size valuation office.
Completed a “Property Investment Analysis” course conducted by the Queensland University of Technology on the 22 July 1991.
Started private practice in Cairns in May 1995.
